Hallelujah, It’s Raining Ben

By Chris

10319_134754917558_635082558_3603396_5059802_nI was at a high school football game this past Friday night when I came across a great money-making idea. It was an overcast day with no rain, but when the game started it began to downpour. Nobody was prepared for this. A man began walking around the stands selling disposable ponchos. Many people were buying them in an attempt to stay dry. What a simple and great way to make some cash! Does this sound appealing to you? If so, consider buying some disposable ponchos and try this idea for yourself. If you buy them in bulk, they go for less than two bucks a pop. Go to free sporting events in your area on days when the weather is not so hot and test your luck! Bring on the rain!

Hacking is Wack!

2750044326_210420f275Just in case you’re a computer geek who might be thinking that hacking would be a great, quick way to make some serious money, here’s an example to make you think again.

25 year old Van T. Dinh has been busted not once, but twice for his hacking and identity theft activities. When he was 19, Dinh created a computer virus that posed as a stock-trading tool, which he used to steal another investor’s login information to a brokerage account. He then used that account to buy worthless stock options from himself at a value of $47,000. He was caught, but apparently 13 months of jail time and 3 years of supervised release were not enough to get him to mend his ways. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Finding Benjamin Crib Notes- Our House Is Haunted

By Chris

With Halloween right around the corner, I thought it would be appropriate to finally tell the world about our spooky happenings at the House of Pain (built in 1917). Is our house haunted? We kept telling ourselves that there is no way, but so much evidence has surfaced over the months that we are starting to think otherwise… It all started before I even owned the house and received the $8,000 tax credit

SANY0184Here is a photo of the back side of the house, showing a window that is part of my room in the attic. When we were getting the house inspected by a licensed inspector, he started by checking the outside of the house with a pair of binoculars. He noticed that this top attic window was CLEARLY cracked from one corner to the other, with a chunk of the top right corner actually missing. He snapped a photo of this, and we went on to inspect the rest of the house from the inside. When we got up to the attic, he examined the window from the inside and the window seemed to be in perfect condition. He checked his camera again, which still showed this window being severely cracked. Spooky, huh? [Read the rest of this entry...]
